Jeffery Wellman, of Grayson, is accused of shaking his 5-month old boy in frustration, causing a brain injury, according to KSP.

A woman and child were killed and three other people injured in a collision in Lewis County, according to Kentucky State Police.  

Police say 38-year-old Eddie R. Smith had been shot at a home at the intersection of South 29th Street and Beech Street.

State Police say 63-year old Barbara Wilson of Morehead was injured when the pickup truck she was driving in Rowan County on KY 3317, left the road and crashed into an embankment. Wilson was airlifted to a hospital in West Virginia.
