State enforcing forest fire hazard season burn ban


FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- The state is reminding people the forest fire hazard season has started.

Even with heavy precipitation this winter, the Forestry Service says dead grass, leaves and twigs can dry out quickly and act as fuel for fire.

Right now, it is illegal to burn anything within 150 feet of any woodland or brush land between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
