PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Miners who were recently laid off in Perry County will soon be able to file claims and may even find a new career.
In a tweet, Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program announced it will host a Benefits Fair on January 13.

Officials say employees recently laid off at Deane Mining will have the opportunity to file claims for unpaid wages and get connected with new career opportunities, employers and job training.
The fair will be at the Kentucky Career Center JobSight in Hazard from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
