
POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An overnight house fire took two fire departments four hours to put out, according to the Stanton Fire Department.
Investigators say people told them they heard popping and then an orange glow in the night sky in Powell County around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters say flames were quickly shooting the roof of the home on Spednick Boulevard.
The Stanton Fire Department called in the Clay City Fire Department to help fight the fire.
Investigators say no one was hurt.
The cause is under investigation.
