Man dies after being ejected from truck in Knox County crash


FLAT LICK, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is dead after a single-car crash in Knox County Thursday, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers say they received a call on December 5 at 2:49 p.m. about a crash on U.S. 25E in Flat Lick.

According to State Police, 61-year-old Daniel Patterson, of Cannon, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet pick-up truck headed southbound on the highway.

Troopers say the car dropped off the roadway into the median where it began to overturn multiple times, ejecting Patterson in the process.

Patterson died on the scene, according to the Knox County Coroner.

State Police say Patterson was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
