LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – National forest officials say Laurel River Lake is not looking like itself lately.
Part of Daniel Boone National Forest is about 10 feet lower than normal for this time of year.
Rangers are warning people to be aware of potential hazards caused by low water conditions.
They say a boat ramp was closed there after water receded revealing a large hole near the base of the ramp.
Officials have set up courtesy docks and boat ramps but hope that Monday’s rain will bring the water level back up.
