According to the coroner, Stringer died from a gunshot wound.

According to police, Stringer was leaving the mall and was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Wilson Downing and Nicholasville Road, when a dark-colored car shot at her. They believe the car was in front of Stringer’s at the intersection, when it did a quick U-turn and started firing shots.

Multiple shots were fired from the suspect vehicle, which fled back toward the mall near Dillard’s.

Police say they don’t believe this was an accident and that Stringer was targeted.

They think the suspect and her knew each other.

We learned from social media Stringer was a mother of three.

The coroner says she was an organ donor so she was kept on life support until doctors could retrieve her organs.

Police say they really need the public’s help in finding whoever killed her.
