DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officers in Danville say they stopped a driver, only to have him take off and lead them on a pursuit Wednesday.
The Danville Police Department says officers pulled over 26-year-old Marcus Beasley, of Danville, on 2nd Street in Danville.
Officers say Beasley sped off and they pursued him.
They say during the pursuit, Beasley went the wrong way and almost hit another car at the intersection of Baughman Avenue and Hustonville Road.
The officers stopped the pursuit because of the risk to the public.
They say a short time later, Beasley lost control of his car, hit another vehicle then got out and ran.
He was eventually found and arrested.
According to police, Beasley was wanted on several warrants and now faces several other charges, including wanton endangerment and fleeing/evading police.
