ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Rockcastle County teen was sentenced to more than two decades behind bars in connection to the murders her mother and stepfather.
Brooklyn Reynolds was just 16-years-old when her mother, Chara Bryant, and her stepfather, William Bryant, were killed.
They were found dead in their home in Rockcastle County on June 8, 2017.
Reynolds was tried as an adult and convicted of complicity to commit murder.
On Friday, she was sentenced to 23 years.
Investigators say Reynolds and her boyfriend, Christopher Evans, committed the murders because the Bryants would not let them see each other.
Evans remains in jail, charged with murder.
