Kentuckian found dead in burned out car in Tennessee


DYER COUNTY, TN (WTVQ) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s help after a Kentucky man and a woman from Tennessee were found dead in a burned out car in Dyer County, Tennessee on February 2, 2019.

Investigators say Robert W. Williams, of Hartford, Kentucky and Samantha Nicole Dial Hankins, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, were found in an area off Great River Road in Dyer County, Tennessee.

In an effort to identify the person or people who may know about or be connected to this case, Special Agents are seeking information about anyone who owned a Lotto Sport Italia sweatshirt, which was collected at the scene.

Agents are also asking for information about anyone who may have suffered unexplained burns or injuries since February 2.  This could include unexplained changes in hairstyles, particularly the length of a person’s hair.

The Tennessee Advisory Committee on Arson and the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible.
