Alumni flood UK campus for homecoming


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Alumni from all across the country flooded the University of Kentucky campus and Kroger Field for homecoming.

Aaron Kelly lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, Pascal Rich lives in Edmond, Oklahoma and Jacob Kelly lives in Greensboro, North Carolina. All of these alums traveled for the homecoming game.

“Being apart of this culture, being apart of this tradition, UK football is back,” said Rich.

Laura Shimko graduated in 2012 and got her masters in 2013. She comes to almost every game. She’s a public school teacher, and fittingly, her group of friends bring a school bus to every game.

Coach Mark Stoops autographed the bus. The tailgate also consists of a jenga set.

The University of Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores 14-7.
