HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – There was a ten vehicle collision on I-24 in Christian County Friday afternoon, according to State Police.
Investigators say it began around mile marker 91 when a vehicle hit the cable barrier in the eastbound lane. While investigating that crash, the driver of another car lost control in the middle of the road which caused a domino effect, according to KSP.
Several vehicles in the eastbound lane couldn’t stop in time, colliding with one another, according to investigators.
Only two people were injured. They were taken to a hospital in Hopkinsville with non-life threatening injuries, according to KSP.
The accidents led to the temporary closure of the eastbound lanes, which were expected to reopen around 7:00 p.m., according to State Police.
