LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday night in a collision that temporarily closed a portion of a busy Lexington road, according to police.
Investigators say a Toyota Highlander SUV, turning from Harrodsburg Road onto Fort Harrods Drive, turned in front of an oncoming motorcyclist around 7:30 p.m.
The resulting collision sent the motorcyclist to UK Hospital. His name was not released.
The woman driving the SUV was not hurt, nor were her husband and child who were passengers.
Police say no charges were expected to the filed against the SUV driver.
The crash led to the temporary closure of the outbound lanes of Harrodsburg Road, according to police.
