NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – All northbound lanes of US 27 in Jessamine County reopened Tuesday afternoon after being closed following a serious accident.
The lanes were closed shortly after 10:00 a.m. at the busy intersection of Nicholasville Road and Keene Road when a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision, according to investigators.

Police say vehicles came to a stop at the intersection as an ambulance went through and that the motorcyclist couldn’t stop in time and collided with two vehicles, which triggered a chain reaction crash involving two more vehicles.
Investigators say no one else was injured.
The accident victim’s name wasn’t released.
