Neighbors tell ABC 36 Woolums is in a wheelchair because of another hit-and-run accident ten years ago. He used Daisy to help him with daily tasks.
The community has started a gofundme page to help Woolums get a new service dog.
Organizers say any extra money raised will help with medial bills.
Police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver.
