GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Scott County coroner is trying to identify a woman whose body was found in a wheelchair in a parking lot behind Georgetown Community Hospital Wednesday evening.
The coroner says just before 7:30 p.m., a nurse saw the woman covered in a quilt. Investigators say the nurse tried to talk to her before realizing the woman was dead.
The coroner says the woman appears to be between 65 and 70 years old. Investigators believe she died within the last 24 hours. They say they do not suspect foul play. Instead, they say it’s a case of abuse of a corpse.
An autopsy is planned. The coroner says a gold or tan Chevy Tahoe with no hub caps was seen in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Georgetown Police.
