RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Madison Co. Sheriff says that 5 people have been charged after being found with drugs, cash, and a gun in Richmond.
According to the Sheriff, around 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning, deputies got a call about a gray Ford truck that was involved in a shots fired complaint on North Second Street.
Deputies found the truck turning left onto Lancaster Avenue from Main Street, but say when they tried to stop it, the driver took off, eventually turning onto Crabbe Street, and then going the wrong way down University Drive before coming to a stop.
Deputies say when they searched the truck, they found cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, over $800 dollars in cash and an AR-15 with two loaded magazines.
Deputies arrested 19-year-old Devon Richardson, 18-year-old Lonnie Oxendine, 18-year-old Jabri Carter, and 18-year-old Anwar Alcorn, along with an unidentified juvenile.
All were charged with trafficking and possession charges, with Devon Richardson also receiving a charge of DUI, and fleeing and evading.
According to Madison County Sheriff Mike Coyle, on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at approximately 2:13 a.m., Deputy Buster Dargavell received information of a gray Ford truck being involved in a shots fired complaint on North Second Street in Richmond. Deputy Dargavell located the truck matching the description turning left onto Lancaster Avenue from Main Street.
