LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Lexington say they have obtained a juvenile custody order in connection to the shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon at the Palomar Centre.
Officers say they are trying to locate a 17-year-old male. The juvenile has been charged with assault and robbery.
According to police, the shooting happened Thursday just after 2:00 p.m. Shortly after the shooting, officers learned that a young man with a gunshot wound to the leg was dropped off at a hospital. When they went to investigate, they found the victim, Tre’Von M. Warren, and learned that he had been shot by the juvenile suspect.
Officers say the shooting was narcotics-related, and discovered that Warren and his driver, 18-year-old Jeremy M. Skidmoore were in possession of several Xanax pills. Both of them were cited for trafficking. Warren was additionally charged with possession of marijuana.
